Follow the Gamle Romsdalsvegen road from the centre of Åndalsnes through Neshagen and Mjelva. You simply have to stop to take a photo or two at Mjelva, where you have panoramic views of almost all the classic peaks in Romsdalen: Bispen, Kongen, Dronninga, Venjetinden, Store Trolltinden and Romsdalshornet. Continue along the Gamle Romsdalsvegen road past Åkeshjellen. The biking route will cross E 136 twice, before it brings you onto the Romsdals-hornvegen road. Here, you pass the Ner-Hole museum with its unusual dwelling house dating from the early 1800s. Check the opening hours and plan a visit to the museum if you can. Continue to the foot of Mount Romsdalshorn, where you cross below the E 136 road to the idyllic road that follows the Rauma river on up to Trollstigen Camping. From the path along Eiafossen waterfall, you have great views of Trollveggen, the highest perpendicular rock face in Northern Europe. You can also continue cycling 500 meters along the E 136 hard shoulder to Trollveggen Visitor Centre.
