Suldalslågen is the largest river in Western Norway and is popular for brown trout and salmon fishing. It is not uncommon to catch salmon over 10 kg, and every year salmon over 20 kg are caught.
Mo Laksegard offers 4 good fishing beats; Mo/Litlehaga/Berge, Førland III, Steine/Underbakke and Hoftun. The season for brown trout starts on the 1st of May, while the salmon season starts on the 20th of July. The fishing season lasts until the 1st of October.
Children under the age of 16 can share a rod / fishing license with an adult or buy their own fishing license, if both want to fish at the same time. It is possible to rent a local fishing guide who can help with both technique and finding the good fishing spots. Mo Laksegard also rents out fishing equipment.
