The trip up takes about 2.5 hours. for glacier hiking on Flatbreen, Jostedalsbreen. One comes close to the precipitous glacier, around 800 meters above sea level. Self-service cabin with 18 beds.
A completely rough ride in steep and lush terrain. On this trip you will be treated to a beautiful view of the turquoise Fjærland Fjord, the Flatbrehytta with its spectacular outdoor area, a view of the fantastic Flatbreen up close and a pearl of a bathing water a stone's throw from the cabin.

The cabin is used a lot for accommodation in connection with hiking and courses on Flatbreen.Accommodation must be booked in advance by phone or e-mail.
The Flatbrehytta is a privately owned, self-service high mountain hut located a stone's throw away from the Flatbreen, 994 meters above Fjærland. The two cabins were built in 1954 and 1964. It is possible to spend the night in both cabins.
The oldest "Steinhytta" has beds for 3-4 people. The other has beds for 15 people spread over three floors in a dormitory as well as a loft with space for 3 people.
