Glacier hike in the Sunnmøre Alps

You will meet the guide at "Saksa parkering" at 9 a.m. From here you will drive on graveled road to the parking lot in Urkedalen. Here you will all receive personal crampons and ice axe which you will carry into the foot of the glacier (6 km). He hike into the glacier is an adventure on its own with beautiful lush nature, farm animals and traces from WW2. On average we will use 2 hours into the glacier. Once we reach the glacier we will put on our personal gear and give you and instruction in use and safety rutines. We will spend around 1,5 hour on the glacier to explore and learn. For those who want there will be a chance to cross and climb carvases if the conditions allows it. The guide will also educate you on the glacier knowledge and its development, and if your lucky you can also hear the movement of the glacier on the solid mountain.

The tour takes approximately 5-6 hours depending on the group physical condition. Age limit 12 years.
