By using RIB boat we are searching into a remote area of the national park, and we seldom see other people at our adventures.
From our starting point we use a RIB boat to access a non-touristic arm of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier. From the RIB boat we hike towards the glacier, making our best effort to give you an unforgettable glacier hike experience.
The Hike
From the boat we walk on a path alongside the powerful glacier river, entering the National Park. Next to the glacier we have a rest in our tipi and the equipment necessary for the glacier is handed out. Equipped with crampons, ice axe, harness and rope, we are ready to explore the world of blue ice. We walk on the glacier searching for ice holes or small tunnels. If we are lucky, we will find a spot to enter, into the ice.
In total we are rising aprox 200 meters, so the tour is not very hard. But lasting for 6-7 hours, you should be prepared for some walking.
You need to bring:
Good walking shoes
Warm and good clothing
