Nigardsbreen is one of the most famous glaciers in Europe. It is an outlet glacier from the Jostedalsbreen icecap, and it's glacier foreland has a fantastic chronology of moraine ridges.

We meet up at Nigardsbreen car park, only 3 km from Breheimsenteret, and we take the boat for a little roundtrip on the glacier lake. From the lake we walk through the newly deglaciated areas up to the front of the glacier. Up by Nigardsbreen viewpoint we will have a lunchbreak and taste the salt-cured lamb from Nigardsbreen valley. We offer packed lunches at Breheimsenteret, wich are great for a hike like this.

The interactive exhibition and slide show film at Breheimsenteret are included in the price, so make sure to visit the centre before or after the guided hike.
