Romsdalen gondola
A local guide meets you at Åndalsnes Railway Station, located right next to the Romsdalsgondola. Here, you are provided with snowshoes and poles, along with a brief introduction to the snowshoeing adventure you are about to embark on. You are given a map and some information on how to safely navigate the winter mountains. Once you're ready for action, stroll over to the Romsdalsgondola and enjoy the 5-minute gondola ride to the top, offering a 360-degree view.
Snowshoeing tour
Tighten your snowshoes and step into the white powder! The tour starts slowly and gently, and the guide ensures everyone is comfortable with their snowshoes and that they are securely fastened. You are taken to the best photo spots to enjoy views of the Romsdalsfjord, the Rauma River, and sharp peaks like Vengetind, Trolltindene, and Kirketaket. You also get views towards Trollstigen and the top of Trollveggen. The snowshoeing trip is about 1 km long.
Eggen Restaurant
After plenty of fresh air and stunning views, it's time to warm up at Eggen Restaurant. Here, you are served something warm to drink, with a choice of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The guided tour ends here, allowing you to spend as much time as you want in the cozy atmosphere of Eggen Restaurant. Perhaps you'll want to buy something to eat? You can take the gondola down whenever you like, as it departs every half hour.
