A guided hike to Preikestolen during the winter allows you to experience Norway's most popular hike without the hordes of people you may encounter during the summer season. The scenic view from the top and the winter wonderland in the Lysefjord are well worth the sweat!

Schedule for a guided hike

You will be picked up from your accommodation at 7:00-7:15 AM. Make sure to be ready 5 minutes before in front of your hotel. The car ride to the trailhead takes approximately 40 minutes. During this trip, you will drive through the world's longest and deepest undersea tunnel for cars, and drive along the fjords and countryside.

From the trailhead, it takes 2-3 hours to reach Pulpit Rock. Here you will have the time to enjoy a lunch with a view and to take in the stunning scenery. Do not forget your camera!

The hike back to the trailhead also takes 2-3 hours. From here, you will be brought back to Stavanger. Expected arrival at your accommodation is around 03:00-04:00 PM.
