There will be a short bus ride to the start of Kvernberget, to beautiful Kvernberget, a small mountain, really close to the city center of Kristiansund. The hike is easy and a little hilly only. You will have a great view on the top over the sea, mountains, fjords and cities in all directions. Quite a small effort for maximum views.
It’s about 20 min walk one way. You walk the Sherpa stairs which start at the very beginning of the trail and goes all the way to the top which is at 205 m.o.h.On the way down you use the west side of the mountain on sherpa stairs so it will be a roundtour.
A coach will bring you to the starting point for the walk to Kvernberget and pick you up again after the walk. You continue to the viewpoint Varden. From Varden you walk downhill through the city and the tour ends at the cruise pier. On the way down you will see beautiful Vanndammen, the Kirkeland church and the clipfish wife.
The combination of nature near Kristiansund and some of the most interesting landmarks give you an overview of the best this city can offer.
