Hålandsvatnet spans Stavanger and Randaberg municipalities. A trail circles the lake, attracting natives and visitors alike to relaxing walks. The trail is 7.1 km long, all of which is well lit so that it can also be enjoyed in the evenings. There is a lean-to shelter near the lake. Hålandsvatnet is also a popular lake for freshwater fishing. The fishing season starts 1 April, and ends 1 November.
