The road between Bleiklindi and Styvi mainly follows the shoreline where possible. The road has beautiful hill walls, culverts and ditches. In Galdane, just west of Styvi, a wooden bridge has been built along the mountain so that you can pass this steep mountain section. In the summer season, you can meet grazing animals on the various hayfields and the trip is in itself a cultural and historical gem that is suitable for the whole family.

Leave no trace!

Clean up after yourself and take all waste with you, including disposable grills and wet wipes.

In the outback, you can pitch a tent as long as you are at least 150 meters from the nearest house or cabin. Open meadows in the lowlands are often inland. You can only camp there by agreement with the landowner. Use recommended tent sites.

Lighting fires in forests and outback is prohibited from 15 April to 15 September, except in places such as at the water's edge, where the risk of fire is minimal. Use established campfires and avoid setting fire directly on rocky ground so that the rock cracks. Put out the fire and clean up after yourself before you leave.
