The stroll along the lake Frøylandsvatnet (7–20 km) passes through beautiful terrain, varying from the open grazing land of Jæren to dense spruce forest. The trail along the lake is ideal for the whole family regardless of the season.

Sandtangen is a wooded recreational area close to the centre of Bryne at the south end of the Frøylandsvatn lake, with walking trails, an area for playing ball games, a picnic area and a playground. It is suitable for prams and wheelchairs.

Between Bryne and Kvernaland along the FV505 is the forest, Njåskogen, a nice forest with well-illuminated paths. You have easy access to Midgardsormen, the wooden bridge that winds itself across the lake.

Access:

  • At Bryne, from Sandtangen by the Time Town Hall. Parking available.
  • At Kleppe, from Klepp station.

Transport:

Train to Klepp or Bryne. The path lies next to the railway part of the route.
