Starting from Ugelstadsetra, this hike offers you a fantastic view out to the sea. At the same time, you can see the entire mountain range from the Romsdalsalpene to the Sunndalsfjella and parts of the Trollheimen to the south.

Route description

From the parking lot at Ugelstadsetra, continue straight ahead through the birch forest until the path turns right and follows the ridge up to Gongrøyra. Here, it descends slightly before the final steep climb to the top of Snøtind. Early in the summer season, there may be snow near the summit, which can be challenging if it's hard-packed. The trail is well-defined all the way up, making it easy to navigate.
