The cold and snow-sure region, in collaboration with snow production, annually provides an amazing ski season for its guests. Hornindalen offers vast areas suitable for freeriding and serves as an excellent starting point for various backcountry tours.
About the slopes and lifts
The ski slopes originate from the 1487-meter-long T-bar lift Hornindalsheisen, one of the longest ski lifts in Norway, and the new 500-meter-long platter lift SpareBank 1 Rekrutten. From the top of Hornindalsheisen at 750 meters above sea level, there are two groomed main descents of 1,650 meters: Fossehenget on the west side and Tverrløypa on the east side. The latter is fully lit, making it the longest illuminated descent in the region. Multiple parallel trails and various descents provide a wide range of variations and difficulty levels.
Family-friendly
The facility is well-suited for children and beginners, featuring a 500-meter-long platter lift parallel to the lower part of Hornindalsheisen. A main descent and skicross have been developed here, both 500 meters in length with slopes/turns where guests can choose the level of difficulty, depending on the path they take. The combination of the lift and descent is specially designed for beginners of all ages and skill levels, allowing them to practice step by step and develop their skills.
Terrain Park
In addition to SpareBank 1 Rekrutten, a terrain park area with jumps, a park, and rails, among other features, has been developed on the east side of Hornindalsheisen for those seeking extra challenges and variety.

Parking at the ski center is subject to charges.
Hornindal Skisenter is located in Grendadalen in Hornindal. From the junction between E-39 and Fv-60 towards Indre Hornindal, it's 4.5 km with signposted directions to the ski center.
