Jostedalsglacier - ski touring

You can experience Jostedalsglacier in many ways. High peaks, with fabulous views, a huge snow and ice desert and a steep decent to the fjord, where flowering apple trees await us.

The tour starts in Erdalen in Stryn, goes to Fjærland. On the way you will pass peaks like Lodalskåpa, Brenibba, and Kjenndalskruna. If the weather is good, it is possible that the guide will take you to Lodalskåpa.

Jostedalsglacier is one of the most famous tours, but also the most demanding. This tour requires you to have an authorized guide, and it is dangerous to walk on the glacier without having a guide.

The trip will take 3 days- and the tour is demanding in steep terrain with a backpack of 15-20 kg.

The sack will be filled with ski traps, good clothes, sleeping bag, tent and cooking equipment. Even if the trip is long and demanding, it is a trip that people in normal good shape will manage fine.
