The smokehouse, which is situated at Skiftun in Hjelmeland, Ryfylke, is renowned for honouring time-proven traditions when it comes to the preparation and curing of fish. Only the finest salmon is used, along with sea salt and sugar, before the fish is carefully smoked using select juniper and beech shavings.

Every product you buy from Mikals Laks is fully traceable – from spawning salmon to delicacies that are sure to tempt your guests.

King Mikal has already won several prices for the development and production of high quality products.

Summer café in July

Thursday and Friday 11:00-17:00.

Serving various sandwiches with salmon and some light dishes with salmon in them. They have four flavours each week, but they will vary slightly.

Weather permitting, they also serve Italian pizza with salmon cooked in a pizza oven.

Otherwise they are open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00-16:00. They sell salmon, waffles, ice cream and coffee.
