How long is the hike to Rindatrollet?
This is a child-friendly and short round trip of about 4 km round trip. The trip takes about an hour, but you can expect it to take longer if you have small children with you.
How do I get to Rindatrollet?
The tour starts at the Preikestolen car park. Preikestolen car park is around 10 minutes by car from Jørpeland and 40 minutes by car from Stavanger.
When is the season for the trip to Rindatrollet?
The main season for the tour is from March to the end of October.
Hike description
The hike is in easy terrain but starts somewhat steeply at the beginning from Preikestolen Fjellstue. The round trip ends at Rindavatnet, where Rindatrollet is waiting for you. Rindatrollet is a friendly old troll measuring 2.3 metres. You are free to climb and take photos of the troll. There are some soft sections - boots are an advantage!
A nature trail has been set up along the trail, so bring a pen and paper and try your hand at the turbo questions.
