Aquaculture is a large and important industry along the Norwegian coast, and at the aquaculture centre you can learn more about modern aquaculture. You'll also get to know the small animals, seabirds and fish that live around Røvær. The exhibition is compact and provides a simple introduction to major and exciting topics such as aquaculture, history, the environment and natural conditions. RIB trip to the aquaculture centre
When you visit Røvær Aquaculture Centre, you can buy a ticket for a RIB trip to the salmon cages at Røvær Fjordbruk. Here you can get up close to the fish farms and see how the salmon are doing. There are regular RIB trips every Saturday and Sunday at 11.30 am and 2.15 pm between April and September. The trip costs NOK 100 for adults and NOK 50 for children (age limit 6 years). You can borrow a suit, shoes and life jacket for the trip.

Food and drink at Røvær
Food is served at Røvær Sjøhus and Røvær Kulturhotell, but remember to check opening hours in advance as they vary throughout the season. Røvær also has its own 24-hour convenience store.
