This is a circular tour that can be started from several places. If you start from the pier, for example, you can choose to walk southwards along the beach. The stone beach is a beautiful spot for a picnic and swimming! You can continue the hike around the river mouth and up on a small path between Lyseelva and the campsite. At the campsite's parking lot, the path meets the road, and a large bridge safely takes you across Lyseelva. Cross the bridge and follow the marked path downhill on the other side of Lyseelva. This is a nice little path through bushes and shrub forest that takes you almost all the way to the fjord, where you can admire the waterfall in all its splendor! Follow the path back and, if desired, take a small variation by following the trail to Tjodan Power Plant and from there back over the bridge you crossed earlier, and back to Lysefjorden Tourist Hut/pier where the hike began.

Rundt Osen (Lysebotn)
Rundt osen til Lyseelva is a short and close hike in Lysebotn, yet it offers spectacular views - all the way from the bottom of Lysefjorden with its steep mountain sides, along the stone beach where the fjord meets the valley floor, and through the shrub forest to a waterfall that changes its character from day to day.
