The path starts behind Lysefjord Hyttegrend - there is a small parking area behind the service building. The first part of the path takes you through mixed forests, but after a while, there is an ascent through a scree and the landscape opens up to this great view of the Lysefjord. The bridge is right below you! From the top of the mountain, you also see to Stavanger and the Ryfylke archipelago. The way back takes you down to some farms. Follow the markings to the road and walk the last bit back to your car.

This tour is suitable for children from 6 years of age, but note that there are some steeper parts.

Please note that you cannot park a motorhome in the parking area, as they require too much space. There are motorhome spots right by the reception of Lysefjorden Hyttegrend, which have a fixed daily rate. Here, you'll find facilities for emptying toilets, drinking water, and a stunning view of the fjord.
