The UtsirArt project has made Utsira a popular destination for street art. Artists from England, Spain, France, Norway, and beyond have drawn inspiration from the island’s unique history and environment, decorating walls, silos, barns, and houses with their creations. Each year, a new artist is invited to leave their mark on the island.

A little about the UtsirArt project

The project began in 2014 when Utsira Reiseliv invited eight well-known street artists to the island. They were welcomed with great enthusiasm by the locals, who offered up everything from walls and barns to silos and house exteriors as canvases. Since then, a new street artist has contributed to the project each year.
