Tengesdalsvatnet lake is located just off the road between Sandnes and Høle / Lauvvik. At the east end there is a shallow, sandy beach and a wheelchair ramp. There is plenty of space to pitch a tent, there are pits for campfires and barbecues, toilets and a beautiful shoreline where you and your family can enjoy yourself with swimming and fun in the water! Tengesdalsvatnet is also the starting point for several trips if you enjoy hiking.
Tengesdalsvatnet has free fishing with rods and otters from public land. The water is very suitable for kayaking and well suited for kayaking/canoeing. Canoes for rent are located right on the water's edge and can be ordered for a small fee from the website of Frilager. Remember to book two days in advance.
