The seven wolf cubs are part of the culture in Sandnes. At the edge of Ulvanutane, there is also a pair of binoculars for free use. There are views to Sola and the North Sea in the west, Karmøy in the north, Hå in the south and to Bynuten mountain in the east.

The seven wolf cubs

  1. Mindenuten: The town's old vantage point from the time Sandnes became a market town in 1860. Finally, it has come to light again. Fabulous views of the harbour of Sandnes and the inner town centre. The girl cub Ganda stands here in her red and white suit that represents Ganddal sports team.
  2. Skjæraberget: Eventyrnuten with exciting surroundings and beautiful vegetation. The mountain has two tops. One facing Austrått in the east and one in the north, where you look down towards Hanadalen valley and the Gandsfjord. Here, you will find the wolf cub Austrått in dark blue and white.
  3. Skolefjedle: At the top is flag with a picture of the wolf. The wolf cub Trones with Sandnes Ulf's light blue colour is found here.
  4. Hanafjedle: This mountain top is spectacular in terms of views and just outside the fence, the wolf cub Hana stands in her yellow and blue suit, watching over everyone who comes up the stairs.
  5. Høgaste: The name means "the tallest", so needless to say the views are fantastic. On his own mountain, the wolf cub Boga stands in black and white representing Bogafjell sports team. Here there is a natural formation in the mountains forming a natural seating. Popularly called the King and Queen (Kongen and Dronninga). The king is the one with the armrests facing east.
  6. Krågeberget: In the old days called the Losjen (the lodge). Here there are fantastic views of Rovika and the harbour area. Here, you find the wolf girl Sanda in her green and white suit.
  7. Langafjedle: On top of Rovigfjedle mountain. Here, the wolf cub Lura in his green suit tries to hide away in the terrain. At the same time, he has the best view of all inland Ryfylke and Stavanger.

Suggestions for hiking in a simple way

Follow the signs where the wolf walks with a cane. You can start and end wherever you want in the seven kilometer long trail. Start at the culture house, then follow the black wolfm then follow the light blue wolf, then the yellow wolf. From here, there are two roads you can walk, both marked with white wolves. It is recommended to walk over Rovigfjedle mountain to Krågeberget. From here, follow a green wolf, then black wolf. Then you arrive at the binoculars on the edge of Ulvanutane. Return to the centre follows then first green wolf, then white wolf.

Information boards

Along the trail, four large notice boards have been placed: Hanabanen, Krågeberget, Mindebanen and at Ulvanutane. Here is a large map of Hana and info about the other districts in Sandnes.
