The popular stairs from the old Hana school are the result of local commitment and dedication. The "Fjellstigen" (mountain staircase) has 306 steps in concrete, frequently used for recreation and gruelling training sessions.

Hanatrappene as the starting point for a popular family hike

The hike The seven wolf cubs also starts here. A fun hike to do with the kids as they can search for the next wolf cub in concrete along the mountain trek. There is a great vantage point with a training park at the top of the Hanatrappene stairs. Look forward to a staircase walk surrounded by deciduous forest and with a view of the city of Sandnes. At the top, we'll leave you with these lyrics from the song about Sandnes: "Hidden, the city lies snugly between hills, in the innermost part of the Gandsfjord's muddy shore".
