Kristiansund - Kvernes Stave Church
From Kristiansund, drive through the Atlantic Ocean Tunnel towards Averøy. Take a detour to Kvernes Stave Church. From Bruhagen, turn left and head towards Kvernes. The stave church is beautifully located by the fjord, on a hill, and is one of the few stave churches built after the Reformation.
Kvernes Stave Church - Atlantic Ocean Road
From Kvernes Stave Church, continue along Kvernesfjorden towards the Atlantic road. The road is often referred to as the world's most beautiful car journey and offers a visual experience where nature, architecture, and modern engineering meet, creating a truly unique driving experience.
Atlantic Ocean Road - Bud
Follow the Atlantic Ocean Road all the way to the fishing village of Bud. Along the way, you can stop at the white sandy beach of Farstadsanden, a easily accessible recreational area, and the bay is protected as a nature reserve. The viewpoint at Askevågen is also worth a visit before arriving in the charming fishing village of Bud.
Bud - Molde
