The road continues along lake Eikesdalsvatnet, through the largest hazel forest in the country. Eikesdalsvatnet is located just 26 meters above sea level, while the surrounding mountains tower 1800 meters straight up from the lake. Toll road to the Mardalen valley, where you can walk up to the Mardalsfossen waterfall (45 min). The waterfall cascades 297 meters down and is the world's 4th highest waterfall to drop unbroken (water is released by the hydroelectricity company 20.6-20.8).
