Tuabua is a day trip cabin in Tuastad (on mainland Karmøy). The cabin is beautifully situated by Tuastadvannet, just one kilometre from the car park where the tour starts. The entire hike is on a gravel path and is suitable for both young and old. The Tuabua day trip cabin has a wood-burning stove, so if you want to light a fire, just pack some wood.

Is it allowed to stay overnight in the day trip cabin?

The cabin is open all year round, but as in the other day trip cabins, it is not permitted to spend the night here.

Is there a toilet at the cabin?

The area at Tuabua is equipped with toilets.

Universal design

The path into the cabin is universally designed, so it is possible to walk with a pram, walker, wheelchair etc.

Car parking

You can park at Tuastad grendahus (Gamle Tuastadvegen 30, 5546 Røyksund), and the hike starts at the car park here. Follow the signposted hiking trail all the way to Tuabua. The hiking trail is on a gravel road, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk up to the cabin from the car park.
