Ulvarudlå

This hiking area is located between Ualand and Sikvaland and is typical of Høg-Jæren. The terrain alternates between grass and heather with some narrow sections in between. One of Norway's largest birds of prey migration is registered in this area. On this trip, the view follows you almost all the time. Of course, it is most powerful at the highest point, Ulvarudlå (412 masl). From the top, you look far out towards the sea. And if you turn around, you see Bjerkreimsenderen (telecommunication sender), Synesvarden and a number of lakes that dominate the view.  The trip can be taken as a round trip and you can choose Aurenes or Tjåland as a starting point. Here with Aurenes as a starting point. Follow signs and markers, first on a tractor road with a good climb all the way to the top of the hill, where there is a crossroad to Tjåland. From here, out into the terrain. Wet areas require good footwear. Eventually the cairn at Ulvarudlå appears, and after about an hour, you are at the top. The return trip goes the same way down to the crossroads. Turn left in Raunidalen and past Fiskelaustjørna until you meet the tractor road again. Follow this road down to the other car park located at Tjåland. The round trip continues down to Tjålandsvatnet lake, alternating on old tractor road and path. Follow the water's edge back to Aurenes.
