Vaulen swimming area is located at the end of Stasjonsveien at Vaulen, in the Hinna district of Stavanger. The bathing area is a cosy and sheltered spot facing the Gandsfjord. It is the city's most visited. There are good walkway connections to the bathing area. Be there early to get parking on hot days. On such days, the locals flock to the beach. The bathing area contains six smaller sandy beaches, play areas for children, sand volleyball court, ball loops, diving board, ramp into the sea for the disabled as well as toilets. There is an open kiosk on bathing days. The area is also used for large and small events, but it is primarily an area for swimming and outdoor life.
