You will see a statue by the harbour of the Jentene på Flatholmen (the girls of Flatholmen), who struggled heroically to save their father and brother in a ferocious storm at sea. Continue further along the harbour, and visit Krabbeloftet, a gallery for local art and handicrafts. The walk continues to old Tananger, where you can buy shrimp at the pier and relax as you look out to sea. The maritime environment here is a blend of new and old, with fishermen still bringing in their catch. Do visit the exhibition at the Coastal Culture Collections (Kystkultursamlingen).
