This hike is designed for adults and children from the age of 8 years who would like to get a glimpse of the beauty of the deep blue ice on the Nigardsbreen Glacier.
Please note that the path to the glacier and the route on the glacier itself is quite steep this year and although this blue ice walk is shorter than all the others, the technical difficult level remains the same. Therefore you need outdoor experience, a good balance and medium fitness.

Meeting point: Nigardsbreen parking ground at the equipment depot (sign GUIDE) next to the toilets.
Partly steep terrain on rock secured with fixed ropes, the approach to the glacier can be slippery.
Total about 3,5 hours, on the ice about 45 min.
The total time is calculated as follow:
Boat transport: 15 min. x 2 (no waiting for the boat incl.) Walking to and from the glacier: 1 hour. x 2. Equip/roping up and instruction: approx. 15-30 min. Hiking on the glacier about 45 min
