This express boat is operated by AtB, the public transport company in Trøndelag. Please not that it is not a guided tour, but a public transportation at sea.
Route
This trip takes you by sea from Kristiansund to Trondheim with a express boat. The boat departs from the center of Kristiansund and takes you to the Trondheim fast boat terminal in the heart of Trondheim.
Between Kristiansund and Trondheim, the boat stops at Edøya on Smøla, Kjørsvikbugen in Aure, the island of Hitra, and Brekstad on Ørlandet. On this trip, there is no scheduled stop along the way—the ticket is valid for the specified date and departure time. We ask that travelers remain on board for the entire trip.
From the boat, you can see the places the boat passes and experience the central Norwegian coastal landscape. You'll see small and large islands with small local communities and enjoy a fascinating marine landscape. Onboard, there is a food service with a sandwich counter, fast food, cakes, and more.
Trondheim
Trondheim is Norway's third-largest city and offers many highlights. Right next to the fast boat terminal, you can find Rockheim, Norway’s national museum for popular music. There are also several other popular museums in the city.
The Nidaros Cathedral, in the city center, is an impressive sight. Its history also makes it one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in Europe. Next to the cathedral, you’ll find the Archbishop’s Palace. When it comes to food, Trondheim offers everything from informal, cozy eateries to exclusive Michelin-starred restaurants.
