Haugesund Airport Karmøy (HAU) is an international airport located on Karmøy, a 15-minute drive from Haugesund. The airport is an important gateway to Haugesund and Haugalandet, and has a lot of commuter traffic as well as holiday traffic. Transport options to/from the airport are taxi, hire car or own car. The local taxi companies Haugaland Taxi and Karmøy Taxi can be booked in advance, but also usually have taxis waiting outside the arrival hall.

You can park for free at Haugesund Airport Karmøy for up to 20 minutes. The parking has automatic number plate recognition which will start upon entry and end at exit. Payment beyond 20 minutes is made in Apcoa Flow within 48 hours of exit. At the airport, there are several parking spaces for people with reduced mobility (remember visible parking permits) as well as spaces for electric cars.

The staff at the airport help passengers who require assistance. You will receive assistance if you need special services to get to and from the aircraft, use portable oxygen equipment, are dependent on a wheelchair, have impaired vision or hearing or have a guide dog.
