Haukeliekspressen in wintertime

Haukeliekspressen travels over the Haukelifjell mountain pass where the weather can sometimes be challenging. This can result in delays and traffic jams, and this is something you need to take into account when planning your journey. When mountain passes are closed due to the weather, buses run as normal to Åmot and turn around there, while buses from Haugesund run as normal to Røldal and turn around there. Stay updated on traffic information here.

You have two pieces of luggage (max. 30kg) included in your Haukeliekspressen ticket. If you need more, you can travel with extra luggage for a fee of NOK 50 per item, if there is room in the bus luggage compartment. Read more about this here.
