From Ålesund, take bus 110 or 250 towards Stryn. Then, board the ferry from Hellesylt to Geiranger. Please note that bus and ferry tickets must be purchased separately.
Bus from Ålesund to Hellesylt
The journey starts in Ålesund and passes through Sykkylven, known for its furniture production, before crossing the mountains to Stranda. From there, the trip continues to Hellesylt, where the fjord cruise begins.
You can purchase your bus ticket via the FRAM app or the Entur app. Tickets are also available on board the bus, where you can pay by debit or credit card.
Buses depart from Korsegata bus stop in Ålesund city centre to Hellesylt.
Fjord Cruise on the Geirangerfjord
The ferry cruise from Hellesylt to Geiranger takes one hour, offering breathtaking views of iconic waterfalls such as The Seven Sisters, The Suitor, and The Bridal Veil, as well as the famous Skageflå mountain farm.
