Welcome to a farmstay at Vingarden på Jølst, a unique fruitvineyard in Jølster. The standard of accommodation is rustic and simple. There are a total of 12 beds available, in two bedrooms and a dormitory. There is a shared bathroom in the house that will also be open to other visitors during opening hours. The bedrooms are upstairs, and there is no elevator in the house.
Breakfast included
Breakfast is included in your stay and the kitchen will be stocked with that you need for a hearty self service breakfast. Please notify us of any dietary requirements ahead of your arrival. Other meals can be arranged on request, but can only be guaranteed when arranged in advance of your stay.
The Vineyard at Jølst
Camilla, your host, is the founder of Vestavin and bought this farm in 2021 in order to turn it into the Jølster fruitvineyard - Vingarden på Jølst. It is a continual and ongoing work in progress. During the summer months there is a lot to be done outside, tending to old and new plantings, fences and making sure everything that should thrive, does. During your stay you can choose to get involved in the work on the farm, or simply go your own way and enjoy all that Jølster has to offer, both in nature, nurture and culture.
Vingarden is also open to the public. In the basement there is a farm shop that is open every thursday afternoon throughout the year, and also welcomes groups for private experiences. In July and August Vingarden is open 1-5 pm Wendnesday to Saturday. Outside of these opening hours, you will have the farm mostly to your self.
