Sandhaug Turisthytte is located by the lake Normannslågen in the middle of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. It's about 3 – 3,5 hours easy hiking from Tinnhølen.

Rauhelleren is a modern tourist cabin where the nice old atmosphere is still present within the walls. The cabin has 58 beds divided by eight 2-bedded rooms, three 4-bedded rooms and six 6 bedded rooms.

Taste traditional food or sleep in the mountains at Halne Fjellstugu. The lodge is easily accessible along the RV. 7 - 1140 m.a.s.l at the entrance to Hardangervidda National Park.

Dyranut tourist lodge is situated on top of the Hardangervidda and is a good starting point for ski and hiking trips across the plains. The terrain is easy to walk in and suitable for families with children.

Far down in the valley lies Vivelid, sheltered by birch woods, only one hours walk from Hjølmoberget on the motor road.

Trondsbu Turisthytta is closed during the 2024 season due to maintenance and upgrading. Trondsbu tourist hut is situated near Tinnhølen, along the Tinnhøl road on Hardangervidda.

Dyranut Fjellstova is situated along route 7 at 1245 masl at the Hardangervidda mountain plateau.  From the mountain lodge there is a panoramic view over the wilderness both winter and summer.  

Trolltunga Hostel offers affordable accommodation in Tyssedal - not far from the starting point of the hike to Trolltunga.
