Ålesund Church - a beautiful stone church from 1909
The exterior of the church is more neo-Romanesque than Art Nouveau, but the Art Nouveau interior is unrivalled and completely unique. The decor and stained glass windows are also completely unique. One curiosity is that you can find the German coat of arms in one of the paintings. It was donated by the German Kaiser Wilhelm II, who was a great admirer of Ålesund.
