Day trips in Åndalsnes

Following the footsteps of Kompani Lauritzen

Many people have been inspired by TV2's popular celebrity reality show Kompani Lauritzen, which was recorded at Setnesmoen camp near Åndalsnes. From this home guard camp, many Norwegian celebrities have fought against each other and against the harsh Romsdal nature.

Precipitous view from Rampestreken

On your way up to the town mountain Nesaksla, you will discover the viewpoint Rampestreken. Based on the name, that is precisely what it is – a ramp that goes 20 meters out from the mountain. An amazing view!

Romsdalsstigen Via Ferrata

When walking such an iron road (Via Ferrata is Italian for iron road), you can try your hand at real mountain climbing in a safe facility. The Romsdalsstigen has two routes, the Introveggen (the Intro wall) and the Vestveggen (the Western wall). The latter takes you all the way to the top of Nesaksla!

Rib tour on the Romsdalsfjord

The mountains in Romsdalen stand out well from a distance and are probably best seen from the fjord, where you can really observe the contrasts. Combine this with speed and sea spray, and you will have quite a day!
