Norwegian Mire Museum

The first stop is the Norwegian Mire Museum – a modern museum focused on peat farming, turf production, cabin building, and mire nature. The museum is located in the barn at Moldstad Experimental Farm, in green and picturesque surroundings in the middle of Smøla.

Rosvoll parsonage and Gallery Rosvoll

The beautiful Rosvoll Prestegrend is situated magnificently on Smøla. The farm is part of Nordmørsmusea and also serves as a host for pilgrims. Here, you can enjoy the views and cultural surroundings, either inside or outside the opening hours. Inside the Prestegrend, there is a gallery, with walls covered in beautiful paintings. At Rosvoll Prestegrend, you’ll find several permanent exhibitions: - Made in Smøla – The History of Canning - Natural history exhibition with taxidermied birds and animals from the shoreline - Smøla through the ages - Photo exhibition by Gullik Dahlstedt from the fishing villages: Grip, Veiholmen, Brattvær, Hallarøya, Odden, and Ringsøya.

Sanden Village Museum

Experience an authentic site both indoors and outdoors at Veiholmen. The site consists of five buildings. The village museum tells the story of trade, fishing, the tenant farming system, emigration to America, and daily life a hundred years ago.

Edøya Cultural Heritage Site

See the Old Church of Edøy, Edøystjerna, and Kulisteinen on Edøya. At Gurisenteret, old stories are told in new ways, with an exhibition featuring a variety of digital solutions. In addition, you can immerse yourself in the daily life of the Vikings while strolling around with your mobile.
