Seasonal Hiking Tips

The summer months (June to August) are the most popular for hiking, with warmer temperatures and long daylight hours. In spring and autumn, you’ll find fewer visitors and a peaceful atmosphere, though conditions may vary more. In winter, snow often blankets the eastern parts of the fjord, and icy patches can persist until late spring. No matter the season, always check the forecast, dress appropriately, and wear sturdy footwear as weather conditions can change rapidly.
