Haugesund Theatre is the most important provider of performing arts in northern Rogaland. They offer the public a wide range of productions of national and international class throughout the year. As one of Norway’s smallest state-funded theatres, HAUT has in recent years made its mark on the national arena, hosting the Hedda nominations in both 2017 and 2018, and with a number of artistic successes and glowing reviews. The theatre’s social mission is to produce professional theatre productions of high quality and of a socially relevant nature. Haugesund Theatre is currently led by theatre instructor and dramatist Morten Joachim Henriksen.
Haugesund Theatre
Haugesund Theatre (HAUT) is the regional theatre for the Haugesund region, and stages productions at the HAUT stage at Smedasundet 98, and on tours in the region. For larger productions, HAUT hires Haugesund’s concert hall, Festiviteten.
