Get to the Sword in rock monument by bus from Stavanger
To visit the site of the famous Viking battle that united Norway into one kingdom under Harald Fairhair in 872, you can easily take a bus from Stavanger.
- Take bus number 16 from bus stop M
- Get off at the Madlaleiren bus stop
- Walk for about 300 metres along Madlaveien towards Hafrsfjord
- Return with the same bus number towards Stavanger city centre
