Nature enthusiasts will appreciate Forsand's many well-marked hiking trails, with popular options including Vikastakken, Uburen, and Sollifjellet. These mountain hikes offer breathtaking views of the Lysefjord. History buffs can explore the ancient village of Landa or climb a replica of Preikestolen. Thrill-seekers can horseback ride to the top of Uburen and swim in the nearby Lysefjord and Høgsfjord. Kayaking and cycling are also popular activities in the area.
By boat or car
For a unique experience, visitors can take the express boat or car ferry from the pier and explore the Lysefjord. Along the way, they will see magnificent sights such as Preikestolen, which rises 604 metres above the fjord, and Kjeragbolten, which sits nearly 1000 metres above sea level.
From Forsand it's easy to visit nearby towns such as Jørpeland and Stavanger.
