Take the boat to Røvær

To get to these islands, you need to take the boat from the centre of Haugesund. Kolumbus operates this route, and the crossing takes about 25 minutes.

Visit Røvær Aquaculture Centre

The Aquaculture Centre is free of charge and is where you can learn about Norway as a port nation. The exhibition comprises a number of interactive games and activities that let children actively participate. Outside the Aquaculture Centre is a small aquarium where children can explore the sea life at Røvær.

Catch crabs in the shallows or from the dockside

Lothestranda and Grønasvika are popular swimming spots at Røvær and are also excellent places for catching crabs. There are tables, barbecues, a lean-to shelter, a beach volleyball court and toilet facilities at Lothestranda beach.
