Indrefjord Gard offers guided riding tours for riders with varying levels of experience. The tour starts calmly on the track and around the farm so you and the horse can get to know each other better, before continuing into forest terrain or down to the shore. The tour is customized to your wishes and can include cooking in the countryside or a meal by the campfire in the yard.

Indrefjord Gard offers riding tours for up to 6 people with a maximum of 4 riders.

How much does the horse riding tour cost?

It costs NOK 800,- per horse per time. For a 2-hour tour it costs NOK 1200,- per person. If you would like a group price, please inquire to Indrefjord Gard.

How to get to Indrefjord Gard

Pick-up service with horse

If you're traveling by speedboat, we offer a pick-up service with horse-drawn carriages or riding horses at Rysjedalsvika Quay. Here you can catch the Bergen-Selje and Bergen-Sogn speedboat routes.

Travelling by car

From Bergen, drive north and take either the ferry to Lavik or Rysjedalsvika.

From Rysjedalsvika ferry quay, it is a 5-minute drive to Indrefjord Gard.

From Lavik Ferjekai, it's a 35-minute drive to Indrefjord Gard.

From Førde it's a 1 hour and 30 minute drive south on the E39, before turning off the main road at Lavik Ferjekai and continuing west on the 607. Alternative route via Dale on 57.

Learn about Indrefjord Gard

Indrefjord Gard is an idyllic family-run farm located at the far end of Lifjorden, with views of the majestic Lihesten. Ole and Ina Sognnes own and run Indrefjord Gard. Ole is a farmer's son and took over the farm in 2012, while Ina made horses an important part of the farm's offering. Here are horses, ponies, rabbits, cats, dairy cows, and Mira the dog.

Indrefjord Gard has traditional dairy and meat production in a modern farm building with a milking parlor and milking robot, and was the first milking parlor in Hyllestad with a milking robot. The activities also include Bygdeservice
